I have known Martin since we were both undergrads at MIT. Since then, we've stayed in touch and we briefly overlapped while I advised Grandata / Wibson. I strongly believe that he's got several attributes that make him a great fit for any technical leadership role. First, he has a unique ability to go deep both in product and technical discussions and, as needed, bridge both domains. For example, in Wibson he could talk equally proficiently about the technical whitepaper and the product and market implications of the work that they were doing. Second, he has got the charisma and demeanor that make him well suited to lead an organization. He has a friendly, funny personality yet manages to make himself be taken seriously and be respected at all levels of within and outside a given organization. Finally, he has the willingness and ability to switch hats as needed, showing an impressive ability to do what it takes to make an organization succeed as opposed to boxing himself in narrowly-defined role descriptions. I recommend him without any reservations for any role in which his leadership and cross-functional abilities would be of value.

I have known Martín since 2013 and we have worked together on different scientific projects within the framework of social physics and the understanding of human behaviors. I admire very much his intelligence and vision. He is one of my favorite people I’ve been working with. I have always been positively surprised by his creativity in how he can use the data of people anonymously and generate disruptive products. I am particularly fascinated by how his innovative initiative has managed to implement fantastic ideas from both his own and the scientific community in perfect alternatives for the collection, monetization and use of personal data while preserving individual privacy.

In my years of leading and managing thousands of scientists, I always found a market and commercially driven CTO a rare occasion. Martin is an outstanding scientist and a top data scientist and innovator and what makes him powerful is his ability to engage customers in the problem solving space.
